SDH Consultants is headed by Susan D Harrington, an accomplished public health executive with more than 29 years of experience in local health department administration, health care policy, strategic planning and organizational effectiveness. Susan is a team builder and public health leader at the local, regional and state level. Susan has received national and statewide acknowledgement for her vision and groundbreaking efforts in public health policy, program implementation and community partnerships to create healthy communities and prevent/reduce chronic disease incidence. Susan is an expert facilitator and public speaker.

Susan's professional experience includes serving as the Director of Public Health for the Riverside County Department of Public Health in Riverside, CA for over 12 years. In this role, Susan administered a budget of over $120M with a staff of more than 1,200 providing a full range of public health programs and services to a population of more than 2.3M county residents.

Susan is a Registered Dietitian and holds a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Food Service Management from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of California at Davis.
